However, instead of involving lights, celebrities and highlights, the Lions decided low-key was the best approach. Their video shows head coach Dan Campbell sitting in his office and apparently listening to sports-talk radio with the subject being the Lions and the issues they will face this season.
He gets up from his desk with a piece of paper in hand and he puts it up on a cork board with a push pin. It is a simple piece of paper with the opponents listed in vertical fashion. Simple, clean and direct with no bells and whistles.

It seems to indicate that the Lions are getting back to business this season and are not interested in anything other than playing and winning football games. Everything else is window dressing, and that is not a priority for the Lions organization.
Detroit finished the season with a 9-8 record a year ago, and that put them in last place in the NFC North. They had the same record as the Minnesota Vikings, but Minnesota won both games against the Lions last year, so they finished above Detroit in the standings. That gave the Lions a fourth-place schedule.
The Lions will open the season with a home game against the New Orleans Saints and they won't play a divisional opponent until they host the Packers in Week 7.
