Watch: Aew’s Chris Jericho Pops Up in NFL Schedule Release Video

Chris Jericho made an unexpected crossover appearance on Thursday night, showing up in the Minnesota Vikings’ 2026 NFL schedule release video.

While football fans prepared themselves for dates and matchups, wrestling fans suddenly found themselves getting a little “Y2J” served on the side.

As part of the NFL’s annual schedule reveal rollout, all 32 teams released creative videos unveiling their upcoming seasons.

The Vikings leaned fully into a restaurant-themed concept. Jericho appeared as a waiter delivering dishes themed around Minnesota’s opponents for the year.

The cameo wasn’t long, but it definitely made the list. Or, in Jericho terms, fans probably didn’t expect him to put the NFL on “The Highlight Reel” this week.

The cinematic-style video featured Vikings kicker Will Reichard throughout the skit, with the kitchen preparing food inspired by upcoming opponents on the team’s 2026 schedule. One comedic moment included Reichard joking that his only allergies were “cables and camera wires,” referencing a previous incident that reportedly affected his perfect kicking streak.

Jericho appeared toward the end of the segment when Reichard signed a menu for his “friend, Chris Jericho.” The AEW star, who has long been known as a Vikings fan, then appeared onscreen as part of the reveal.

The crossover quickly caught attention online, especially because Jericho currently remains one of AEW’s most recognizable names. The appearance also created an interesting wrestling connection, as U.S. Bank Stadium is set to host a major WWE event despite the Vikings featuring an active AEW performer in the promotional video.

Minnesota opens its 2026 season on Sept. 13 against the Green Bay Packers. The team’s bye week falls in Week 6. The marquee matchup against the San Francisco 49ers is scheduled for Nov. 22 in Mexico before the regular season finale against the Chicago Bears.

Meanwhile, Jericho focuses on AEW business as he prepares to compete in Stadium Stampede at Double or Nothing. Even outside the wrestling ring, though, the “Learning Tree” keeps branching out.
