Moises Caicedo suggests Chelsea have a player with a better right foot than Frank Lampard

Very few Chelsea players can say that they strike a ball as cleanly as Frank Lampard did when he was at Chelsea, however Moises Caicedo believes one of his teammates fits that bill.

The current Chelsea squad are looking to replicate some of the greatest in their club’s history by winning the FA Cup on Saturday against Manchester City.

Moises Caicedo was always going to play a key part in that side, who have been buoyed by the return of crucial defenders Levi Colwill and Reece James.

Moises Caicedo says Reece James has the best right foot in Chelsea history

While both will bring defensive security to the Blues on Saturday, Chelsea fans will know the skipper provides the technical brilliance to provide a crucial moment in attack too.

Caicedo was full of praise for James when asked to build his perfect Chelsea player from the past or present by TNT Sports, picking the England international for having the best right foot in the club’s history.

This saw him ranked in the Ecuadorian’s mind ahead of the likes of Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba, who enjoyed long and successful careers at Stamford Bridge.

Caicedo elected to choose Enzo Fernandez for best first touch in Chelsea history, something which may be debated by Blues fans who have Eden Hazard firmly in their minds.

Calum McFarlane's latest injury update.

Reece James could change position for FA Cup final

Calum McFarlane confirmed that James would be available for the FA Cup final this Saturday in a massive boost for the Blues.

When he came off the bench against Liverpool, he replaced Andrey Santos and slipped into midfield, looking very comfortable immediately.

Enzo Maresca frequently used James in a midfield role when Chelsea were facing tougher opposition, and it can be expected that this could happen again on Saturday.

The Blues looked very competent in the three-at-the-back formation, with Malo Gusto suiting the wing-back duties better than Chelsea’s captain, who is only just returning from injury.
