Jaguars game-by-game predictions after 2026 NFL Schedule release

The Jacksonville Jaguars broke onto the scene last season, but will they be able to repeat their success? The Jaguars' 2026 schedule was just released, so here is a game-by-game prediction of how they will perform.

Week 1 vs. Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns have started 42 quarterbacks since 1999. Josh Hines-Allen and crew should be able to wreak havoc regardless of who is taking snaps for Cleveland.

Win

Week 2 @ Denver Broncos

While Travis Hunter will surely come out ready to play in his return to Colorado, the Broncos' defense will be too much to overcome. Even a successful two-way performance from the Jaguars' former number two pick won't be enough to win in the Mile High City.

Loss

Week 3 vs. New England Patriots

The Jaguars and New England Patriots battled in the standings all season long last year. New England ultimately narrowly edged Jacksonville out and earned the two seed. They will again come out on top when the two square off in Week 3.

Loss

Week 4 @ Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals got the best of the Jaguars last season. It was one of just four losses on the season for Jacksonville and the only defeat that came on the road against a non-divisional opponent. The Bengals are not perennial playoff performers because of their suspect defense, but the offense can sure getting going. If this is one of the games where Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase go off, then the Jaguars could be in trouble.

Loss

Week 5 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

A.J. Brown's future in Philadelphia is in doubt, but Makai Lemon was one of the steals of the draft for the Eagles. The team contends for Super Bowls year in and year out, and while Jacksonville is also a Super Bowl threat, the Eagles have a tad bit more experience and winning history. This would be Jacksonville's fourth straight loss, which matches their total in the L column from last season.

Loss

Week 6 vs. Houston Texans

The first third of the season won't be a cake walk for the Jaguars. They will need to secure tough home wins in order to make up for a difficult road schedule. The team has what it takes to beat the Houston Texans, but it will surely be a close game. A win here could get the Jaguars back on track.

Win

Week 8 vs. Indianapolis Colts

The Jaguars face the division rival Indianapolis Colts in Week 8 and during the regular season finale. A series split between the two seems likely.

Win

Week 9 @ Baltimore Ravens

Game planning against the Baltimore Ravens is never easy because Lamar Jackson is a perennial MVP threat and arguably the best rushing quarterback in NFL history. The Jaguars have the deeper roster top to bottom, though. This game could go either way, and being on the road does Jacksonville no favors, but the team is talented enough to pull out the win.

Win

Week 10 @ Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans should be much improved this year. They were aggressive in free agency, filled needs in the draft, and they are expecting improvement from former number one overall pick Cam Ward. Even so, they are still a little ways away from being legitimate threats, so the Jaguars should be able to get the better of them in both of their matchups this season.

Win

Week 11 @ New York Giants

Jaxson Dart had the raw talent to get hot against anybody, but Trevor Lawrence has been in this game for a while now. His steady veteran presence should lift the Jaguars to victory in Week 11.

Win

Week 12 vs. Tennessee Titans

Just two weeks after collecting a win over Tennessee, the Jaguars have the chance to win another game against a young and still developing program.

Win

Week 13 @ Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears relied on an extreme turnover differential to win games last season. After losing a number of their top defensive backs this offseason, they may be more vulnerable. Trevor Lawrence and the offense need to take advantage. Perhaps this is a game that gets Brian Thomas back to looking like his rookie self.

Win

Week 14 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

It is unclear if Aaron Rodgers will be quarterbacking the Pittsburgh Steelers this season or not. Regardless, the Jaguars should be able to pull out the W. This game will be a great test for Jacksonville's rushing attack. Last season, the Steelers ranked 29th in rushing yards allowed (4,146), but the Jaguars lost Travis Etienne to free agency.

Win

Week 15 @ Houston Texans

The Texans have one of the best defenses in the NFL, and they are sure to give Lawrence and company fits when the game is played in Houston.

Loss

Week 16 @ Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys have an offense led by Dak Prescott, Ceedee Lamb, and George Pickens. Together, they can put up a lot of points. The Jaguars had the best rushing defense in the NFL last year, but they took some hits in free agency, and the passing defense is still vulnerable. The Cowboys will take advantage and dominate the aerial attack.

Loss

Week 17 vs. Washington Commanders

A bounce-back season can be expected from the Washington Commanders if Jayden McDaniels can stay healthy, but the Jaguars proved themselves to be one of the best teams in football last season. With home-field advantage, Jacksonville has an edge on this NFC East opponent.

Win

Week 18 @ Indianapolis Colts

The Jaguars had the benefit of facing the Colts late season in both of their matchups last year. Daniel Jones got hurt in the first of those two matchups, and Indianapolis never looked the same. Jacksonville won't have the luxury of facing a depleted Colts team this year, and Jones could even be back by Week 18.

Loss

Jaguars' 2026 record prediction: 10-7

The Jacksonville Jaguars broke onto the scene last season, but will they be able to repeat their success? The Jaguars' 2026 schedule was just released, so here is a game-by-game prediction of how they will perform. Week 1 vs. Cleveland Browns The Cleveland Browns have started 42 quarterbacks since 1999.
