Coming off a 13-4 season, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2026 schedule includes consecutive “home” games in London, and, for now, three prime-time games, including a Thursday Night meeting at the Baltimore Ravens, a Monday Night Football home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and a Sunday Night Football meeting at the Dallas Cowboys.
The schedule, released on Thursday, also includes a season opener at home against the Cleveland Browns. Some thoughts on each game:
—Week 1: Sept. 13, 1 p.m. ET vs. Cleveland Browns. This is the perfect game for the Jaguars to open the season. They host a team from the AFC North in what is likely to be sweltering Florida weather. The Browns were 5-12 last season, and they still have major questions at quarterback.
—Week 2: Sept. 20, 4:05 p.m. ET at Denver Broncos. Last year, the Jaguars went to Denver and dominated the Broncos. The meeting in the Mile High City is one of five against division winners from 2026.
—Week 3: Sept. 27, 1 p.m. ET home vs. New England Patriots. After the Jaguars lost to the Buffalo Bills, Jags’ fans thought, “Why not us?” when the Patriots advanced to the Super Bowl. Another northern team is coming to Jacksonville in September. Can’t ask for much more.
—Week 4: Oct. 4, 1 p.m. ET, at Cincinnati Bengals. The Jaguars let one get away in Cincinnati last year (or had it taken). They’ll want a measure of revenge against a team that finished 6-11 last year.
—Week 5: Oct. 11, 9:30 a.m. ET, vs. Philadelphia Eagles at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It’s the first of back-to-back “home” games in London for the Jaguars and a rematch of a 2018 London game when the Eagles throttled the Jaguars. This marks the third division winner in the first five weeks of the Jaguars’ schedule.
—Week 6: Oct. 18, 9:30 a.m. ET, vs. Houston Texans at Wembley Stadium. A divisional game in London for just the third time in the Jaguars’ history. It’s the second time that the Jaguars and Texans have met at Wembley. In 2019, Houston smashed the Jaguars 26-3. This time, the game could decide the early leader in the AFC South.
—Week 7: Bye. The Jaguars requested a bye week after the London trip to allow for more time for crews to continue work on stadium renovations.
—Week 8: Nov. 1, 1 p.m. ET, home vs. Indianapolis Colts. The Jaguars will play the day after the Georgia-Florida game is held in Atlanta. The Colts haven’t won in Jacksonville since 2014.
—Week 9: Nov. 15, 8:15 p.m. ET, at Baltimore Ravens. The Jaguars’ first of three scheduled prime-time games comes on Thursday Night Football. After finishing 8-9 last season and missing the playoffs, the Ravens are expected to contend in the AFC North. In the last 20 years, the Jaguars and Ravens have alternated wins in the series, including Baltimore’s 23-7 win in 2023, the last time the two teams met.
—Week 10: Nov. 15, 1 p.m. ET, at Tennessee Titans. The first of two meetings between the two AFC South rivals comes in the midst of three straight road games for the Jaguars.
—Week 11: Nov. 22, 1 p.m. ET, at New York Giants. The Giants were the cellar-dwellers in the NFC East last season with a 4-13 record. While traveling to New York the week of Thanksgiving can be hectic, the Jaguars should be able to take care of business in the Meadowlands.
—Week 12: Nov. 29, 1 p.m. ET, home vs. Tennessee Titans. The Titans are the last divisional rival the Jaguars will face for the first time and the first to face for the second time.
—Week 13: Dec. 6, 1 p.m. ET, at Chicago Bears. The weather could be a factor in this one. The game could also feature a pair of former No. 1 picks at quarterback with the Jaguars’ Trevor Lawrence and Chicago’s Caleb Williams.
—Week 14: Dec. 14, 8:25 p.m. ET, vs Pittsburgh Steelers. The Jaguars will play on Monday Night Football for the fourth consecutive season. Last year, the Jaguars beat the Kansas City Chiefs in prime time. Now, it’s a meeting with the Steelers, against whom the Jaguars played the franchise’s first Monday Night Football game in 1997.
—Week 15: Dec. 20, 1 p.m. ET, at Houston Texans. Five days before Christmas, the Jaguars travel to Houston. Expect to see the Texans’ Battle Red jerseys.
—Week 16: Dec. 27, 8:20 p.m. ET, at Dallas Cowboys. The Jaguars have played on Sunday Night Football only twice since NBC took over the national broadcast. This year’s game will be just the second time in 18 years that the Jaguars play on Sunday Night.
—Week 17: Jan. 3, 1 p.m. ET, vs. Washington Commanders. In the second home game in the final six weeks of the season, the Jaguars face Washington.
—Week 18: date and time TBD, at Indianapolis Colts. How important will this game be? Expect playoff implications for at least one of the competing teams.
The biggest challenge for the Jaguars is the reduced capacity at EverBank Stadium this season (42,507), with the upper deck and other sections of the stadium removed as part of the ongoing renovations. Because of the renovations, the team will play only six games at EverBank Stadium, and only three of the last 10 games of the season will be played in Jacksonville. A hot start to the season will be essential if the Jaguars are to return to the playoffs in 2026. The last time the Jaguars earned postseason spots in consecutive seasons was 1998 and 1999.
