Top five Seamus Coleman moments at Everton

Seamus Coleman has announced that he'll be leaving Everton at the end of the season. The Irishman joined the club in 2009 from Sligo Rovers and has made 433 appearances.

Coleman was appointed as club captain in 2019 taking over from Phil Jagielka. The 37-year-old cost the Blues £60,000 and is Everton's all-time Premier League appearance holder of 354.

This weekend will be Coleman's last home game as Everton take on Sunderland as the 37-year-old will end his 17 years at the club.

Everton 1-0 Leeds United - 2022/23

Once again Coleman showed his importance as his brilliance secured three vital points for Everton as they were deep in a relegation battle.

The previous season Everton stayed up following a dramatic 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace, where then Everton manager Frank Lampard labelled him as 'one of the best people he's ever met'.

This time Everton were managed by Sean Dyche and it was a tense game at Goodison Park. Alex Iwobi played a ball down the line which Coleman looked up and saw none of his teammates were in the box.

Coleman's first game back came in January 2018 against Leicester City and it was like he never left. Late on Coleman went on a powerful darting run reminding the Everton faithful what he's still about.

In the 2022/23 season despite being stretchered off against Leicester, Coleman showed his importance as captain as while he was being carried off he was seen urging the Everton supporters at the King Power, to keep supporting the team.
