The New England Patriots, like every team in the league, revealed their 2026 schedule on Thursday night, and one of their rivals is already getting dissed.
The New York Jets posted a graphic with their entire schedule on X. Barstool Sports, which is owned by avid Patriots fan Dave Portnoy, replied to the post with a graphic saying the Jets had already been eliminated from the playoffs.

The Jets have not made the postseason since 2010 and have the longest active playoff drought in the NFL. They are not expected to be contenders next season, and their quarterback situation has been a mess for years now. Aaron Glenn is working to rebuild the team, but last season the Jets won just three games and traded away some of their stars.
The Jets traded Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts and Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys last season. They have plenty of draft picks, but it's not wrong to assume they will miss the playoffs next season.
The AFC East is loaded. The Patriots and Buffalo Bills seem destined to be two of the best teams in the AFC. The rest of the AFC field is also tough, making a wild-card berth just as unlikely for the Jets.
