Bucs land 3 primetime games for 2026

Tampa Bay opens the season with 4 home games in the first 6 weeks.

Following an 8-9 season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will open the 2026 season with four home games in the first six weeks and three primetime games throughout the season.

As a result of the home-dominated early season, the Buccaneers will welcome four northern teams to Florida in the hottest months. After opening the season at the Cincinnati Bengals, the Buccaneers will face the Cleveland Browns, Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers all before Halloween.

Despite last season’s losing record, the Buccaneers have enough national significance to land three primetime games. In Week 5, the Bucs travel to Dallas to face the Cowboys on Thursday Night Football. A Week 9 trip to Chicago will be broadcast nationally on Sunday Night Football, and Tampa Bay will host the Carolina Panthers in a Nov. 30 game on Monday Night Football.

The Buccaneers will not see NFC South rivals New Orleans until Dec. 20. The two teams will meet again three weeks later in the regular season finale.

The final three games of the Buccaneers’ schedule are all listed as flex games, meaning the date and time of the games are to be determined. Those games include a Week 16 trip to Atlanta to face the Falcons. The next week, the Los Angeles Rams come to Tampa Bay, followed by the aforementioned road game against the Saints.

The Bucs’ schedule features games against all three of quarterback Baker Mayfield’s previous teams. The home opener on Sept. 20 against the Cleveland Browns, two games against the Carolina Panthers, and the meeting with the Rams will give Mayfield a chance to compete against his former employers.
