Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini’s cheating scandal has been among the biggest stories of the 2026 NFL offseason, it all started when the two were captured at a resort in Arizona where they were hugging, holding hands, having breakfast together and spending time together in the hot tub, despite being married to other people and having kids with them.
While Vrabel has gotten off relatively easy in terms of consequences to the controversy as the NFL decided to not review his conduct, whereas Russini had to quit her job at “The Athletic,” the Chargers did take the opportunity to poke fun at the whole situation.
As the schedules for the 2026 NFL season were released on Thursday, Chargers took the opportunity to take a shot at the Patriots head coach’s offseason troubles, with a pop up message from TMZ, about a photo dump, in their video.
Colin Cowherd reacted to the video by Charger and said he doesn’t believe it was necessarily smart for the franchise’s social media team to take shots at Vrabel.
“Not smart to cheat on your wife with another man’s wife either Colin.” One fan reacted.
“Sure, they’re going to fire the most successful social media team in the NFL. You’re ridiculous and Vrabel brought it on himself.” Another fan commented.
“Definitely rage bait. Poor taste for the Chargers to take shots at Vrabel but not Vrabel out there cheating and fucking pregnant woman with a whole wife and family at home 😂😂😂.” Another fan said.
“The Chargers took an even heavier shot at his friend Urban Meyer when he was caught cheating as the Jags coach. Nobody gets special treatment.” Another fan shared their thoughts.

Albert Breer on Potential Questions Mike Vrabel Can Face in the 2026 NFL Season After Massive Dianna Russini Controversy
During a recent conversation with Dan Patrick, Albert Breer was asked about how things would be for him once the NFL season begins in terms of the kind of questions he would face regarding the Dianna Russini situation.
Breer shared that if Vrabel hasn’t addressed the situation in an one on one interview, then the Patriots head coach might face questions like how the whole controversy contributed to how he addressed the team in the offseason.
Breer also said he believes Vrabel would know how to handle the situation since he is a logical guy and also heaped praise on him by saying he is a really good person at his core.
