Pep Guardiola has sent a timely reminder that he still has 'one more year' left on his deal with Manchester City. Guardiola's future has been the subject of intense speculation of late, with suggestions that he's ready to step down after 10 glittering years at the Etihad.
City have reportedly been making contingency plans in case the ex-Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss decides to leave. Former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca would be a candidate and recently hinted that he'd be open to the job.
Saturday's FA Cup final against Chelsea will mark Guardiola's 24th game at Wembley as City manager in a domestic cup semi-final or final. Asked whether it'll be his final visit, the 55-year-old replied: "No way."
Smiling, Guardiola then said that he has 'one more year [on his] contract'. As it was the last question in his press conference, the City boss swiftly left the room.
Guardiola is looking to win his 20th trophy with City on Saturday, having already lifted the Carabao Cup this season.
His side could yet end the campaign with three pieces of silverware if they manage to pip Arsenal to the Premier League title, although they trail the Gunners by two points with as many games left.
Earlier this month, Guardiola stated that he still has 'incredible energy' to manage City, saying: "I wouldn't be 10 years, even with good titles, if I didn't have this incredible environment. I still have incredible energy, still I'm so good, coming here to work on my days off.

"Of course we're here because we won a lot - and that's why they don't fire you, because they continue to trust you - but apart from that, the club is really, really extraordinary. The people take care of all of us in all details.
"The little details mean my job as a manager and the players, is to just think about what you have to do. It's like a bubble that makes people feel good. It's a big club, but here it is a family.
"Players can be disappointed because they don't play, that's normal, that's understandable. But, for the rest, no one can complain."
