Chelsea ran out of steam in the latter stages of the FA Cup final against Manchester City, and Enzo Fernandez noticed one of his teammates just couldn’t continue.
The Blues were defeated 1-0 after a quality goal from Antoine Semenyo, a moment which broke the hearts of Chelsea fans inside Wembley.
Calum McFarlane’s side had been disciplined and caused their opponents some issues, however the final ball was missing on a plethora of occasions.

Enzo Fernandez desperate for Joao Pedro to be subbed off during FA Cup final
This left Joao Pedro extremely frustrated. The Brazilian was forced to make the most of long balls from Robert Sanchez and tirelessly press the City backline.
This took it’s toll on the striker though, and by the end of the game he was clearly struggling, even after Liam Delap was brought on to the pitch.

Enzo Fernandez made it clear to the coaching staff that his teammate was needing to come off, frantically signalling as much to the bench.
The Brazil international came off just moments later for Alejandro Garnacho, although the Argentine had no time to make an impact.
In truth, the goal took the wind out of Chelsea after more than an hour of resolute defending, and they didn’t have enough to get back into proceedings.

John Terry prediction fails to come true
Before kick-off, John Terry predicted that Joao Pedro would be key to Chelsea if they were going to be lifting the trophy this afternoon.
Instead, the forward struggled to show what he can do, and made a mess of the half-chances he was presented in front of goal.
Pedro was handed just a 5/10 on our player ratings, one of his lowest scores in what has been a very impressive individual campaign.
With rumours of Barcelona circling for a potential signing, Chelsea need to make sure they keep hold of Pedro at all costs, as a new manager prepares to take over.
