Cole Palmer could not inspire Chelsea to victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final on Saturday afternoon.
Palmer and his teammates were beaten 1-0 by Pep Guardiola’s side after Antoine Semenyo’s fantastic finish.
Chelsea considered signing Semenyo before his move to City in January and will now regret missing out on the winger after being punished by him.

Chelsea’s FA Cup final loss to Man City left Cole Palmer literally on the floor
Unsurprisingly, Palmer and Chelsea were absolutely gutted following the full-time whistle at Wembley.
They put in a huge effort, but in the end it was not enough to stop Guardiola’s men and bring the FA Cup trophy back to Stamford Bridge.
After the game, the Chelsea players were seen watching their City counterparts make their way to collect their latest piece of silverware.
While everyone stood, Palmer was literally on the floor, clearly devastated and perhaps tired having played the full 90 minutes against a side like City.

He may have been a little bit disappointed with his own performance as well, which was far from his best.
However, that has really been the theme of the attacking midfielder’s season. Palmer has had injuries this term, which have clearly impacted his form. But with the 24-year-old having been fit for a while now, Chelsea supporters would have been expecting more.
Shocking Cole Palmer stat from Wembley
Some of Palmer’s touches were nice ones, while he also managed to get himself into positions where he could hurt City. Unfortunately, though, the Englishman was never able to test James Trafford.
According to Sofascore, Palmer failed to register a single shot during his 90 minutes on the pitch at Wembley. He also finished the game without making a single key pass.
The next final Palmer is in, hopefully he can be a bit more of a goal threat; otherwise, Chelsea will also struggle to win that match.
