Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo has credited Pep Guardiola's madness after he scored the winner in the FA Cup final against Chelsea. After a tight first half, City looked to turn the screw in the second and nearly took the lead when Semenyo's header flew over the crossbar.

It was a big chance missed but Semenyo would dust himself off to score the winner. He flicked on Erling Haaland's cross into Robert Sanchez's far post to win the FA Cup for the Blues. That victory marked City's third at Wembley Stadium this season and booked their place in the Community Shield in August.

Speaking to TNT Sports, Semenyo said: "I don't know how I feel at the moment. I feel quite numb but once we get the trophy and stuff, I think it will kick in more.

"I just tried to improvise the best I could [for the goal] and yeah, it went into the bottom corner so I cannot complain. I practice [it in training] but if it goes behind me, sometimes I might try a trick or two and it worked today so I am grateful."

When asked about the impact Guardiola has had on him so far and what it is like to work with him, Semenyo said: "He's a mad man. He's a mad man.

"Listen, we all love him. He's so passionate, you can see he wants to win trophies and what he has done for the club has been amazing. I am so grateful to be here, so grateful that he coaches me.

"He makes me a better player and yeah, he is a top man."
