Prince William congratulated Pep Guardiola on 'another one' after Manchester City beat Chelsea 1-0 in the FA Cup final. After a hard-fought first half, the Blues started to turn the screw on their opponents after the break.

Antoine Semenyo had a golden chance to give City the lead shortly after half-time but his header flew over the bar. However, the forward made amends in the 72nd minute as he produced a cheeky back heel from Erling Haaland's cross to give Guardiola's men the advantage.

Chelsea pushed for an equaliser that never came. The closest they went was shortly after Semenyo's goal but Enzo Fernandez's effort went over the bar. City's win meant Guardiola won his third FA Cup as manager. After the game, Guardiola led the City players up the steps at Wembley.

There was a short wait as Guardiola insisted John Stones lifted the trophy along with Bernardo Silva. Once that had been agreed, the City boss was the first to be greeted by Prince William, who handed him a winner's medal. As he handed the medal over to Guardiola, he said: "Pep, well done. Another one."

Prince William, who is an Aston Villa supporter, was introduced to both sets of players before kick off. He enjoyed a brief chat with Guardiola before making his way down the line. When he reached James Trafford, there was an amusing moment as the goalkeeper insisted on fist bumping the Prince because he was wearing his gloves.

On Tuesday night, the Blues travel to Bournemouth in the Premier League looking to keep their hopes of a domestic treble alive.

City are currently two points behind leaders Arsenal in the title race. However, they could be five points adrift if the Gunners beat Burnley on Monday night.
