**Calum McFarlane says the incoming Chelsea manager will have “a really talented group” of players to work with despite their FA Cup final defeat to Manchester City.**
Chelsea were beaten 1-0 at Wembley after Antoine Semenyo’s winner to compound what has been a miserable end to this campaign.
McFarlane, who is interim charge until the end of this season, says whoever the next permanent manager is has reasons to be positive despite how the club have fared of late.

“It’s a really talented group,” he said.
“Lots of quality in that group. The fight and heart has been questioned at times but the last two performances, I don’t think you can question that. I think they gave everything today to try and win that trophy for the club.”
Chelsea are hopeful of appointing former Bayer Leverkusen and Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso as their new head coach.
