Everton CEO sets out Moyes future stance

**Angus Kinnear has outlined Everton’s stance on David Moyes’ future.**

Moyes will round off his first full season back on Merseyside, culminating in Sunday’s final home game with Sunderland followed by a trip to Tottenham.

Since his return, the Scot has transformed the Blues from perennial candidates into outside hopefuls for a European qualification position.

Despite entering the final 12 months of his current deal this summer, CEO Kinnear has hailed Moyes’ body of work since succeeding Sean Dyche.

“David Moyes marked his 750th Premier League game recently, consolidating his position as the manager with the third highest number of points in Premier League history,” he wrote in the matchday programme.

“His passion for Everton, coupled with his vast Premier League experience, continues to drive standards at Finch Farm, and be the architect of the team spirit which has been at the heart of this season’s progress.

“Whilst the media and other fanbases clamour for frequent managerial change, we value the stability that David brings and the ability this gives the whole club to plan for the long term.”
