Barcelona fans have collectively turned their backs on Joao Pedro following Chelsea’s FA Cup final defeat, with many taking to social media.
The reality of Joao Pedro’s FA Cup final display paints a much bleaker picture for the Brazilian, who failed to register a single shot on target during an anonymous performance at Wembley.
Tasked with spearheading Chelsea’s attack, the forward was completely suffocated by Manchester City’s backline, barely influencing the game before being substituted late in the second half with an injury.
This disappointing showing was witnessed firsthand by Barcelona sporting director Deco, who was in attendance amid heavy summer transfer links.
However, he wasn’t the only one with his eyes on the game, as Barcelona fans also watched on.

Taking to X, an army of Barcelona fans warned their club from making a move for Joao Pedro after his performance against Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
One Barcelona supporter wasn’t too happy with what he saw:
“Even Torres will play better than what Joao Pedro played today.”
Another fan has seen enough.
“Somebody needs to please tell Deco to please leave Joao Pedro alone at his current Club and look elsewhere for a striker, abeg.”

The criticism didn’t stop there, as another fan said this.
“I hope Deco saw with his eyes wide open how bad Joao Pedro played.”
One Barcelona fan didn’t even recognise Joao Pedro.
“What Joao Pedro was deco talking about. Hope it is not this???”
Lastly, the Brazilian was unfairly labelled as ‘average’.
“Deco would be stupid to blow all that money on an average player like Joao Pedro.”
