ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to a one-year contract with future Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The contracg is worth up to $25 million, with an expected base pay between $22-23 million. Rodgers played for the Steelers last season and had a respectable season as he completed 327 of 498 (65.7%) of his passes for 3,322 yards with 24 passing touchdowns to seven interceptions in his first year with the Black & Yellow.
The Pittsburgh Steelers had to make sure they were prepared for the possibility of Rodgers not returning to the Steel City, as they drafted Penn State quarterback Drew Allar in the third round. Below is the current quarterback depth chart now that Rodgers is returning for the franchise:

The team has made some significant improvements to the passing game as well, as they traded for Michael Pittman Jr to pair with DK Metcalf. In addition, they drafted wide receivers Germie Benard and Kaden Wetjen. Pittsburgh also drafted right tackle Max Iheanachor in the first round to solidify their offensive line.
It will be intriguing to see how Aaron Rodgers looks in his second year with the Pittsburgh Steelers and 22nd NFL season. It is expected he will be participating with the team’s OTAs on Monday. This will be interesting to see how he looks pairing back up with the coach he won his only Super Bowl with.
