The Pittsburgh Steelers got some good news during the weekend, as Aaron Rodgers is set to re-sign with the team on a one-year deal. After some uncertainty surrounding whether the two sides would come to an agreement, those questions were put to bed, and now Rodgers can get back to work.
Rodgers will be reuniting with head coach Mike McCarthy, who he played under during his time with the Green Bay Packers, and they were able to win a ring together. They'll try to recapture that success with the Steelers, but it may not be that easy when looking at the landscape of the AFC, but more specifically, the AFC North.
The Steelers won the division with ease last season, and they were the only team that finished with a winning record. Unfortunately, they didn't go far in the playoffs, but they played well throughout the season to prove they deserved to be there.
Looking at the division this season, not much has changed, but the one major thing is that all the quarterbacks are coming back healthy. The Baltimore Ravens were without Lamar Jackson for some time, and the Cincinnati Bengals didn't have Joe Burrow for an extended period of time. As for the Cleveland Browns, they went through three different quarterbacks throughout the course of the season.

With Jackson, Burrow, and Deshaun Watson back healthy, that doesn't leave Rodgers as the best quarterback in the division anymore. That's not to say that the Steelers won't be good, but quarterback play drives a team more often in the league.
Looking at the roster from all the teams, the Ravens and Bengals may have the most talent in the division, while the Browns are still on the outside looking in. The Steelers could still have the best defense in the division, but the Ravens may give them a run for their money, especially adding Trey Hendrickson in free agency.
It's been a while since the Steelers have made the playoffs as well, but that was all under Mike Tomlin. McCarthy has some big shoes to fill coming in, and he's going to have to go up against some of the best teams in the AFC. The Steelers may have success this season, but they won't win the AFC North when looking at the resurgence of teams like the Ravens and Steelers coming back from their down years from last season.
