He led the program to win their first ever national championship title last season. But despite his achievements, one person is doubting him.
Rob Parker predicts Fernando Mendoza will be a bust
Mendoza had a brilliant and historic 2025 season with the Hoosiers. Apart from leading them to the national championship title, he led them to a dominating 16-0 record as well. In the 16 games he played in, he threw for 3,535 yards and 41 touchdowns with just 6 interceptions. He also rushed for 276 yards and 7 touchdowns.

However, Rob Parker does not think Mendoza will be successful for the Raiders. He is a veteran sports radio host with years of experience. He recently made an appearance on The Odd Couple with Fox Sports Radio. There he brought up the fact that the Raiders will have zero primetime games in the NFL’s 2026 schedule.
Parker predicted that Mendoza will be a failure while also criticizing minority owner and NFL legend Tom Brady. He said, “Fernando Mendoza will be a bust. Don’t even bother watching. Tom Brady doesn’t know what he’s doing. He’s ruined the storied franchise that is the Raiders. Don’t waste your time.”
He further questioned the league as well for including a primetime game, “How in the world could the NFL make a schedule and not have at least one game where we could see the first overall pick on a national level? It speaks volumes. It tells you they don’t think anything’s going on.” However, many fans did not like Parker’s assessment and criticized him.
