Despite spending £1.7b on new arrivals since BlueCo’s takeover back in May 2022, this summer looks set to be a busy one once again for Chelsea Football Club.
Various managers have failed to get the best out of the current crop of players, which has seen Liam Rosenior be the latest boss to lose his job at Stamford Bridge.
With Xabi Alonso seemingly now nailed on to be Rosenior's successor, the Spaniard would likely want more control over transfers whilst having the opportunity to make signings of his own.

Outgoings would undoubtedly be needed to help balance the books in West London after the heavy spending during previous transfer windows under the guidance of Todd Boehly.
However, new additions will be required if the club are to once again mount a serious challenge for the Premier League title under whichever manager is appointed.

Chelsea in talks to sign £70m star this summer
Over recent days, Chelsea have been the latest Premier League club to make a move for Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga ahead of the summer window.
The Frenchman is said to be wanting a move away from the Bernabeu during the off-season after missing out on Didier Deschamps’ World Cup squad.

A £50m transfer fee has been mooted in recent weeks, with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool keen on a deal for the 23-year-old midfielder.
Camavinga isn’t the only player who’s appeared on the Blues’ radar ahead of the summer, with West Ham United star Mateus Fernandes another option being considered.
According to TEAMtalk, Chelsea have entered talks with their Premier League rivals over the possibility of securing a deal for the Portuguese international this summer.
The report also states that Manchester United are once again set to rival the Blues for the 21-year-old, who’s registered six goal contributions across all competitions this term.
A fee in the region of £70m has been mooted for the midfielder’s signature, but it’s unclear how much the Blues are currently willing to pay for his services ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Why Fernandes would be better than Enzo for Chelsea
As part of the club’s heavy spending in recent years, Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernández is just one player who has made a move to join Chelsea at the Bridge.
Enzo Fernandez
The Blues hierarchy paid a reported £107m for his signature back in the January window of 2023, with such a fee breaking the English transfer record at the time.
He’s since made 166 appearances for the senior ranks in West London, scoring on 30 separate occasions, whilst also laying on 28 assists for his teammates.

His latest goal came in the 1-1 draw against Liverpool last weekend, as his free-kick evaded everyone in the penalty area and found its way into the bottom corner.
However, this season has been one to forget at times for the 25-year-old, after he was suspended by Rosenior after speaking out about the possibility of a move to Real Madrid.

A summer move could well be on the cards, but the supporters shouldn’t worry - especially if the hierarchy can secure a move for West Ham star, Fernandes.
Throughout the ongoing campaign, the Portuguese star has managed to outperform the Argentine in various key areas - undoubtedly making him a bigger talent.
The 21-year-old has completed more of the passes he’s attempted this term, whilst also achieving a higher dribble success rate - subsequently achieving a tally three times higher.
His subsequent figures demonstrate the Hammers star’s ability with the ball at his feet, something which is often crucial in the Blues’ possession-based system.
Without the ball, Fernandes has also won more of the ground duels he’s entered this season, demonstrating his excellent ability to disrupt the opposition.

Other tallies, such as 3.1 tackles made and 5.4 ball recoveries per 90, are also higher than those of the Argentine, with the Portuguese star certainly a better box-to-box option.
£70m for the West Ham star this summer would be yet another huge statement of intent from BlueCo as they look to back Alonso from the get-go.
mateus Fernandes
He would certainly provide a valuable option for the Blues and Alonso next campaign as the club attempt to end their unthinkable drought without a Premier League title.
Enzo’s potential departure from West London would definitely be a bitter blow for the Blues faithful, but a deal for the Portuguese international would certainly offer an impressive replacement.
