The midfielder on Saturday helped City win their second domestic trophy of the season by beating Chelsea at Wembley in the FA Cup final. Antoine Semenyo scored the only goal in a 1-0 win.

It saw City add the FA Cup to the Carabao Cup trophy won earlier this season by beating Arsenal at the same stadium, but the destination of the real prize the two teams are fighting for is yet to be decided.

Arsenal sit two points clear of City, thanks to the latter's draw at Everton earlier in May, and head to relegated Burnley on Monday evening in their penultimate game of the Premier League season.

City will again need to respond against Champions League-chasing Bournemouth on Tuesday evening, knowing further dropped points could hand Arsenal the title if the Gunners had one the previous evening.

But Rodri is not giving up, and believes the pressure is on Arsenal to keep on winning as they look to clinch a first top-flight crown in 22 years

"Everything can happen," Rodri told Hayters at Wembley on Saturday.

"We need them to drop points, which could happen in the next game [against Burnley] or the last one [against Crystal Palace].

Arsenal can move five points clear of City, having played one game more, by beating the Clarets at the Emirates Stadium on Monday evening.
