Angus Kinnear has been Everton’s CEO since May 2025.
Previously worked at Arsenal, West Ham United, and Leeds United.
He has revealed his club’s plans for the summer ahead.
Everton’s first season at Hill Dickinson Stadium has been one of progression.
After fighting through successive relegation battles, the Toffees have pushed for European qualification this season and are showing signs of recovery.
In the summer of 2025, they were able to invest heavily on the pitch, and they will look to continue this in the upcoming transfer window.
It has been an impressive season for David Moyes’ side, and the club’s CEO, Angus Kinnear, has outlined his plans for the Blues in the coming months.
Transfers, David Moyes, Academy, and Hill Dickinson Stadium
Kinnear’s first season at the top of the club has been a successful one, as the Toffees have expanded their commercial capacity, on top of improved performances on the pitch.
The CEO has written to Evertonians in the programme for their clash against Sunderland, and detailed the vision he wants to instil ahead of the 2026-27 season.
He noted that the club will be active in the transfer window as the Blues will look to increase squad depth.
“Our job in the coming weeks and months is to continue with what we always knew would be a two-summer window plan, and ensure the squad has enough depth to mount an even more compelling challenge next term,” said Kinnear.
Moyes has faced criticism in recent weeks, but the CEO has confirmed that the Scotsman has full support from the board.
He said: “His [Moyes] passion for Everton, coupled with his vast Premier League experience, continues to drive standards at Finch Farm, and be the architect of the team spirit which has been at the heart of this season’s progress.
“Whilst the media and other fanbases clamour for frequent managerial change, we value the stability that David brings and the ability this gives the whole Club to plan for the long term.”
Kinnear also announced that he has ‘ambitious plans’ for Everton’s academy, with them being set for implementation this summer.
He said: “We are also at the start of ambitious plans to reignite our famous Academy.
“We know that years of under investment have impeded our talent pipeline, but the emergence of Harrison Armstrong into the Men’s Senior Team this season illustrated the quality of both the talent pool and our Academy coaching staff.”
Finally, the 48-year-old expressed his pride in the commercial capacity of Hill Dickinson Stadium, but is aiming to improve Evertonians’ matchday experiences.
“Our vision is that Hill Dickinson Stadium continues to evolve match to match and year to year”, said Kinnear.
“Across the summer, there will be further development to improve supporter experience and make the stadium feel more like Everton’s home.”
Everton’s goal to become a global powerhouse
Years of financial mismanagement severely wounded Everton, and it almost culminated in the ultimate doom of relegation to the second tier.
Now it appears the club are on the right track with plans in place to improve performance both on and off the pitch.
The Toffees’ rebuild will require patience, but they are now on a path of progression.
