Chelsea stars Wesley Fofana and Cole Palmer both would have been extremely disappointed on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues lost 1-0 to Manchester City in the FA Cup final, with Antoine Semenyo scoring the winner for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Imagine if we signed Antoine Semenyo! 😩

Palmer was gutted after the full-time whistle, but clearly, Fofana was even more devastated.
According to talkSPORT, as City’s players went up to collect their winners’ medals, Fofana tried to lead his teammates down the tunnel.
However, Palmer intervened and called the Chelsea squad back to watch the trophy lift. Hopefully, witnessing their rivals raise another trophy aloft will fuel their desire to go one step further next time.
Xabi Alonso is the man who has been tasked with getting Chelsea to win trophies again. After Saturday’s defeat, it emerged that Alonso will be Chelsea manager next season.

One priority for Alonso as Chelsea boss will be helping Palmer to rediscover his best form. The attacking midfielder has struggled this season, finishing the Blues’ FA Cup campaign without scoring a single goal.
In the Premier League, Palmer has only scored nine times, though injuries have restricted him to 24 appearances. Whatever the case, his form is one of the first things that Alonso is going to need to address.
