David Moyes: 'We haven't got over the line with games'

**David Moyes** talked about a 3-1 defeat for **Everton** against **Sunderland**.

The _Toffees_ have endured a frustrating month, dropping points after conceding late goals in matches against **Liverpool** (2-1 defeat), [**West Ham**](https://www.vavel.com/en/data/west-ham) (another 2-1 loss) and [**Manchester City**](https://www.vavel.com/en/data/manchester-city) (a 3-3 draw.)

‘Results in the last four or five games haven't been good enough’

-----------------------------------------------------------------

They had another chance to revive their hopes of continental competition in the last home fixture of their first season at the **Hill Dickinson Stadium**. **Merlin Rohl** gave the hosts the lead at the end of the first half, but a **Jake O’Brien** error helped pave the way for Brian Brobbey to level the score.

**Wilson Isidor** then came off the bench to great effect, linking play in the buildup to a goal for **Enzo Le Fee** before firing home in injury time after the ball drifted past **Seamus Coleman** at the back post.

_"Incredibly disappointed that we did lose. Spells in the game where it looks as if we would be the ones to get in front. **Sunderland** stuck at it, we didn't._

_"The players know the moments and you have to take them. We haven't got over the line with games. Difficult to say today but in other games we've had a hard treatment with decisions but today was more to do with us not keeping control. We gave away a terrible first goal then we were better side at that point but they got away and got a second goal."_

_“Lots of good stuff. But this just shows if you're not quite at it, better players not quite on it, you're not going to win. We need to add to it, we need to look at it. Results in the last four or five games haven't been good enough. Performances haven't been bad but our points tally not been good enough."_
