“Going To Be Discussed”: Emmanuel Acho Predicts Burning Questions for Mike Vrabel Amid Dianna…

Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini were one of the biggest stories of the 2026 NFL offseason, and while the popular NFL reporter has already faced the consequences of her actions by having to quit her job from The Athletic, the Patriots head coach has gotten off relatively easy.

Russini quit her job because the Athletic wanted to begin an internal investigation on her conduct, however, Vrabel just took the Draft day 3 off in order to seek counselling and didn’t face any other repercussions, so far.

In a recent discussion on Speakeasy after the Chargers subtly trolled Vrabel regarding the Russini controversy in their schedule release video, Emmanuel Acho said that the Patriots head coach would be facing the heat if the franchise underperforms at any point in the season and people can argue the first few weeks of the offseason were full of distractions because of the Russini scandal.

“So, do you think the offseason hadanything to do with this slow start,Mike Vrabel? Hey, Mike, the defense hasreally been struggling. Obviously, you’re a defensive-minded coach. Did theoffense have any did the offseason haveanything to do with this slow start? HeyMike, you only lost four games lastyear. You’ve already lost three throughfour weeks. You know, you think yourteam was distracted going into theseason when they start potentially oneand three. Mike Vrabel, Diana Russini isgoing to be discussed whether it shouldor it shouldn’t cuz I agree with you. Itain’t got nothing to do with the X’s andO’s, But the fact of the matter is Jacksonville is going to be good. The Bills are always good. And the Seahawks week one they’re going to be just week one they will have the advantage.” Acho said.

Colin Cowherd Reacts to the Chargers Taking a Dig at Mike Vrabel Amid Dianna Russini Controversy

Colin Cowherd has mostly been mum about the whole Mike Vrabel and Diana Russini conversation and explained his silence by saying he sees it as a moral issue and not an ethical one.

After the Chargers released their NFL schedule release video that includes a dig to Vrabel with a pop up message on from TMZ, Colin Cowherd advised Jim Harbaugh and Co. to save themselves from such controversies.

“Protect the shield,” Cowherd said. “You want controversies to go away. That is my take. That is not smart. It gets a laugh in the room. You’re building a brand. I do not think that was smart by the Chargers’ social team. That is not protecting the shield… Social media people get fired in corporations for the wrong tweet… The NFL is run by old guys, old rich guys, I’m sorry, it is.”

Jim Harbaugh’s Chargers will meet Mike Vrabel’s Patriots in week 12 of the 2026 NFL season, for a Sunday Night Football matchup.
