The Buffalo Bills' passionate fanbase has taken notice of a change in radio broadcast plans for the 2026 NFL season.
Steve Tasker is set to become the Bills' new sideline reporter for radio broadcasts during the regular season. He takes over the role held by Sal Capaccio for the last 12 seasons.
It took fans by surprise, for sure.
Tasker is a legend, a seven-time Pro Bowler as a special teams player for the Bills.
Capaccio had gotten very well known for his role during the radio broadcasts, though, so it'll be a big change.
Why is Sal Capaccio being replaced by Steve Tasker?
This has at least some roots to do with a change in specific broadcast location.
The Bills are changing their flagship station from WGR 550 to WGRF-FM.
WGRF-FM was the flagship from 1998 through 2011, and with the return came the change in sideline reporter.
Capaccio has announced on social media that he'll still have a role with WGR in the season ahead.

The Bills' radio broadcast will have Chris Brown as the play-by-play guy, and Eric Wood will be the color commentator.
Tasker has decades of broadcast experience, and he comes aboard to work directly with the Bills organization now.
