DREW ALLAR ROOKIE PREMIERE HYPE VIDEO
The NFLPA Rookie Premiere is taking place this weekend, with Pittsburgh Steelers QB Drew Allar and WR Germie Bernard among the attendees. This morning, the NFLPA dropped a hype video of Allar in his Steelers uniform on Twitter.
A third-round pick by the Steelers, Allar was the fourth quarterback off the board in the 2026 NFL Draft. Despite previously having first-round buzz, Allar was a Day 2 pick and the Steelers will see if he can become their quarterback of the future. He’ll have a good mentor as a rookie with Aaron Rodgers returning to Pittsburgh.
FANS REACT TO RODGERS DEAL
While it was widely expected that Aaron Rodgers would return as the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, the news is now official. It’s safe to say the reaction of people that KDKA interviewed about the news was tepid, at best.
There are a lot of Steelers fans who would’ve been happy to turn the page and get a look at one of the team’s young quarterbacks. The Steelers won the AFC North with Rodgers, but another blowout loss in the playoffs has led to a general feeling of apathy, based on the video, about the return of the future Hall of Fame quarterback. Until the Steelers win a playoff game, that apathetic feeling might stick around for a bit.
NFL COACHING ACCELERATOR PROGRAM RETURNS
After taking last year off, the NFL’s coaching accelerator program will return at the NFL’s Owners Meetings this week in Orlando. Designed with “increasing diversity in leadership roles,” no Steelers will attend this year, per a list by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Among those attending are Los Angeles Chargers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel, Seattle Seahawks assistant GM Nolan Teasley, Rams offensive coordinator Nate Scheelhaase and Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Grant Udinski.
In the past, Sheldon White has attended the event, but will not do so this year based on the list from Fowler.
