ESPN's Jeremy Fowler thinks the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs could have their eyes on adding at the same position.
Fowler discussed some of the free-agent wide receivers available and mentioned the Chiefs and Ravens as two teams that could make a move, and possibly after OTAs (organized team activities).
"A lot of free agent receivers available. You've got Keenan Allen, you've got Stefon Diggs, you've got Tyreek Hill, and you have a lot of teams that need help," Fowler said on SportsCenter*.* "Kansas City Chiefs are a little thin at receiver. Baltimore Ravens a little thin."
"So teams are sort of seeing what they have at OTAs and minicamp, if they have enough from their young players, they could go and try to make a move," he explained.
The Chiefs are slated to hold their OTAs from May 26-28, and from June 1-3. The Ravens, meanwhile, will begin theirs on May 18 and will conclude on June 4.
Why Chiefs, Ravens need wide receiver help
The Chiefs have a promising young duo atop the depth chart in Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy, but the latter was very disappointing last season and Kansas City would be wise to add more veteran help.
In Baltimore, Rashod Bateman is coming off a down yearthat was also plagued by injury and there isn't much in the way of reliable depth behind both him and Zay Flowers.
Ranking Diggs, Allen and Hill
Stefon Diggs
Keenan Allen
Tyreek Hill
Diggs might be the best option out of the three mentioned by Fowler.
The 32-year-old is coming off another 1,000-yard season and before being cut loose because of his cap hit ballooning in the second year of his deal with the New England Patriots.
There was a cloud hanging over Diggs due to a legal case, but the veteran wideout has since been found not guilty.
We would place Allen as the No. 2 option on this list of three. Allen may not be the same guy he once was at 34, but he has posted back-to-back 700-yard seasons and would be an adequate addition for either team.
Hill is the biggest wild card of the bunch.
He suffered a bad knee injury last season and it remains to be seen when he'll be back, if he makes it back at all in 2026.
That, along with domestic violence allegations against him, will likely delay Hill signing and we would instead expect him to find a home at some point in the regular season as opposed to this offseason.
