LAKE FOREST, Ill., — The 2026 NFL Draft just ended three weeks ago with the focus officially shifting to the 2027 NFL Draft, a class that is expected to be one of the more talented groups in recent memory. As all 32 franchises look ahead to the 2026 college football season, next year's class could be a big one.
The cream of the crop will be at least five or six quarterbacks selected in the first round, along with a plethora of talent at positions such as edge rusher, offensive tackle, and wide receiver.
Going into the 2027 offseason, the Bears will enter year three of the Ryan Poles-Ben Johnson era and will hope to have a lot more clarity about the state of the roster. For a team that is fresh off winning 11 games in 2025, the upcoming season will be a pivotal one for Chicago. A winning season means another late first-round pick, signaling another successful season in Chicago. Any regression and missing out on the playoffs means the Bears could possess a high pick in round one, giving the front office a chance at finally adding a pass rusher that changes the Bears fortunes.
Keep in mind that everything you see in this mock draft is merely projections. None of the players have officially declared, and if your favorite prospect isn't listed or drafted where you think, it's okay. It's all projections.
Chicago is expected to have selections in rounds one, two, three, and four. The Bears will be without a fifth-round selection, which was traded to the New England Patriots for center Garrett Bradbury in March. The Bears will have selections in rounds six and seven, giving the franchise six selections total. As we've seen over the last few years, Poles has sought to acquire more draft picks by trading down on day three.
One quick note before the mock drafting begins: Draft order is determined through Super Bowl odds for the upcoming season and is subject to change.
