The New Orleans Saints have had a very productive offseason, adding a ton of talent to their roster through free agency and the NFL Draft.
While things are looking up, the defensive side of the ball could still use a bit of work. And if there were one position worth keeping an eye on, it would be the defensive end spot.
Fortunately for Saints fans, according to Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football, general manager Mickey Loomis revealed an exciting update on DE Cameron Jordan regarding a contract offer for the franchise legend.
Saints have contract offer on table for Cameron Jordan
"Said (Cameron) Jordan has an offer on the table, Taysom (Hill) does not," Triplett reported Monday morning of Mickey Loomis's press conference.
With the Saints looking to add a bit more help to their defensive line this offseason, this report is an exciting one for the fanbase.
Being able to bring Jordan back for at least one more year, even if it costs a little bit, adding Jordan back for his 16th season to hopefully keep him in New Orleans for his full career would be a great move for the franchise.

Jordan has been a stalwart for the Saints since he was drafted back in 2011, and last year at 36 years old, he started 17 games, recording two passes defended, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and 10.5 sacks with 47 tackles.
He was one of the more productive Saints defenders last season despite being in his 15th season. Bringing him back would be huge for this defense.
This update from Loomis on Jordan is an exciting one, as the star defensive end has a contract offer from the Saints on the table.
The ball is in his court now, as he will have the option to return to the Saints on that offer, which very likely is a realistic offer for a franchise legend.
