Raiders roster 2026: The offensive-line competition

The Las Vegas Raiders will likely have competition at both guard positions and at right tackle this summer during training camp and during preseason games.

Yes, the Raiders are only set in stone on the offensive line at left tackle (Kolton Miller) and center (Tyler Linderbaum). Let’s look at the competitions that are about to commence:

Spencer Burford, Caleb Rogers.

Burford signed as a free agent this offseason. He has experience under new Las Vegas head coach Klint Kubiak in San Francisco. Burford has 38 career starts in four seasons with San Francisco, including nine starts last season. Rogers, a third-round pick last season, started six games and had his moments. This could be a fun battle. But also, note, the Raiders could have Burford compete with rookie Trey Zuhn and have Rogers go up against Jackson Powers-Johnson.

**Edge:** I think the Raiders would be comfortable playing Burford, but if Rogers shows growth this summer, I think he will get the nod.

Jackson Powers-Johnson, Zuhn.

Again, things can be flipped, but a Powers-Johnson-Zuhn battle makes sense. And, really, it shouldn’t be much of a competition, at least, initially. Powers-Johnson should win this with Zuhn, yet another premium draft pick, being allowed to grow and also work at other position. His second season was a brutal one for Powers-Johnson for many reasons. But if he is healthy, he has a can to flourish. Again, all four of these players can play both right or left guard, so the exact specifics are fluid.

Glaze struggled last season, while Grant, a third-round pick in 2025, flashed in some limited action. He came from small-school William & Mary and should be more advanced this training camp. This battle could go to the wire.

Edge: Grant probably has a higher ceiling, so if he shows he can handle the job this summer, I can see him winning the job.

Fluid is the key word to this all. Things can change and there will be developments, but this summer will be very interesting watching the Raiders’ develop their starting offensive line.

How are you feeling about these battles?
