Dignity Health to build medical campus at Cardinals’ new headquarters site

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — One of the Valley’s largest health care corporations unveiled plans for a new medical campus that will sit at the site of the Arizona Cardinals future headquarters.

Dignity Health is set to build a state-of-the-art medical campus at the corner of the Loop 101 and Scottsdale Road, also the home of the Cardinals’ new performance center and headquarters. The campus will span across eight acres and will eventually include two buildings totaling up to 300,000 square feet.

Phase one of the project will feature a 120,000 to 150,000-square-foot medical campus. Construction is expected to begin in 2027, and the grand opening is expected to be sometime in 2028.

“Our relationship with the Arizona Cardinals has been a cornerstone of our community engagement for years, and this collaboration elevates it to an entirely new level. This new medical campus in North Phoenix will expand access to high-quality health care, serving not only professional athletes but every member of our community,” Anthony Houston, president of Dignity Health Arizona, said in a statement.

Officials say a variety of medical programs will be available, including a sports medicine institute, services from the Barrow Neurological Institute, orthopedics, cardiology, specialized primary care, executive health, imaging and outpatient surgery.

Once completed, the campus is expected to create 700 positions and be Dignity Health’s largest outpatient campus.
