There are a lot of things to like about the offseason that the New Orleans Saints had. They were able to accomplish the one goal they had: to surround Tyler Shough with as much help as possible.
However, even though they added Jordyn Tyson, David Edwards, Travis Etienne Jr., Oscar Delp, Barion Brown, and Bryce Lance, the Saints didn't make one move that many fans have been wondering about this offseason.
That player is gadget offensive weapon Taysom Hill. Not much has been reported on Hill this offseason, whether it's retirement, a return to the Saints, or a pursuit from another club in free agency. But, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football shared an update on Hill.
"Said (Cameron) Jordan has an offer on the table. Taysom (Hill) does not," Triplett reported Monday morning from Mickey Loomis's press conference.
This is a worrying update for Saints fans who want to see Hill return to the offense this offseason. While he'd surely be a fun fan favorite to have back, it looks possible he doesn't come to the Saints this offseason.
Saints fan favorite Taysom Hill might not come back in 2026
Loomis revealed that the Saints have a contract offer on the table for franchise legend Cameron Jordan, which isn't a surprise considering how much he means to the team.
But, there isn't an offer on the table for Hill, despite the gadget player being one of the more unique offensive weapons in NFL history.
In his career, he has 2,551 rushing yards and 34 touchdowns on 489 attempts, with 1,034 receiving yards on 110 receptions and 11 touchdowns in his nine-year career.

He can also factor in as a passer, going 195-for-308 (63.3% completion rate) for 2,426 yards and 12 touchdowns with nine interceptions in his career.
Hill is the kind of fun player that's been a staple of the Saints roster for most of the last decade, and if he doesn't return in 2026, it would be the first time since 2017 he's not been a part of the team.
The 35-year-old gadget player, who's one-of-a-kind, might not be returning to the Saints this offseason, as the lack of a contract offer doesn't bode well for Hill's return to the team this offseason.
