Former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca is widely expected to be his replacement.

Guardiola’s deal ran until June 2027 but it’s understood he will call time on his tenure early, having won both the League Cup and FA Cup this season.

Manchester City could still win the Premier League, too, should they win their remaining games and Arsenal slip up against Crystal Palace on the final day.

Guardiola has recently been cagey on the subject of his City future.

Asked before the FA Cup final about his future, he shut down questions by saying: “One more year of contract.”

After the match when asked again, he said “rumours?” before adding “have a lovely evening” and leaving.
