MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KTTC) – According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Minneapolis is set to be awarded the 2028 NFL Draft.
Schefter said the draft is expected to officially be awarded at this week’s league meeting. He also noted that the NFL’s fan engagement and major events committees had been working with the city and the Vikings on plans for the draft.
Notably, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey posted a video outside U.S. Bank Stadium in March, announcing the city had bid to be the site for the draft in 2028.
This year, the draft was held in Pittsburgh, while the 2027 draft is slated to take place in Washington, D.C.
