Police Officer To Prosecuted NFL Legend Dies Of Cancer
Former Los Angeles police detective Mark Fuhrman died on May 12 in Kootenai County, Idaho. He was 74 years old.
At the time of his death, Fuhrman lived in Idaho. His death was confirmed by Lynette Acebedo, the chief deputy coroner in Kootenai County, Idaho. She said, “There will be no other information provided through this office.”
TMZ reported that he passed away May 12 after battling throat cancer.
In 1994, Fuhrman was one of the first two police detectives dispatched to investigate the murders of O.J. Simpson’s ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman. Two years have passed since Simpson’s death.

It was discovered that audio recordings had been made during the trial of O.J. Simpson in 1995. An investigation revealed former LAPD detective Mark Fuhrman used the n-word and boasted about police brutality:
Under cross-examination early, Fuhrman testified under oath that he had not used racial slurs in the previous 10 years. That was a bad decision on his part, as he did not know what was to come. The defense produced tapes recorded by an aspiring screenwriter, per Wikipedia.
Mark Fuhrma used the N-word approximately 41 to 42 times throughout the recorded interviews. Once his credibility was shattered, Simpson’s defense team successfully argued that Fuhrman was a racist who could have planted or fabricated evidence to frame Simpson.
In 1996, Fuhrman pleaded no contest to felony perjury for lying under oath. As a result, he was placed on probation and fined. His perjury conviction effectively barred him from working in law enforcement.
Following the trial, he relocated to Idaho and reinvented himself as a conservative political commentator.
