Chelsea’s players will get an extra incentive to perform at the top of their game in the final two games of the season.
That will begin tonight of course as The Blues get ready to face Tottenham in their second to last Premier League game of the season.

What they can do to Spurs is give them major nerves for the final game of the season by beating them tonight. Spurs need a draw to be sure of their Premier League safety, so Chelsea could send that into the last game of the season for them at least and provide some fear and doubt amongst their camp. However, Spurs will be up for the game and trying to ensure they are safe from relegation, and they would love to do that at Stamford Bridge, right?
It’s a big game for a few reasons, and both players will be up for it, at least they should be.

Chelsea players will have extra reason to show what they can do, because they will be being watched by Xabi Alonso. Unsure yet if he will be in the stands watching or watching on his TV at home, or somewhere else, but he will be watching on regardless.
Interim boss Calum McFarlane confirms that Alonso will be keeping a close eye on the next two games :
“Maybe it gives them an added incentive to know that the manager is watching.”
