Manchester City player ‘crazy’ for transfer – Manager fan of 27-year-old

Manchester City‘s Omar Marmoush is on Barcelona’s shortlist for the striker position, as they look to improve for next season.

For the past few months, the Spanish media have repeatedly talked about Barcelona interest in Atlético Madrid’s Julián Alvarez.

He left Manchester City to join Diego Simeone’s side in August 2024 and has been leading their attack since then.

Alvarez is also attracting interest from Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain while Atlético are reluctant to sell, especially to a direct rival.

The situation forces Barcelona to look at alternatives. Back in February, Sport Witness covered claims from Spain of Marmoush as a target for the La Liga winners.

Egyptian looking for Manchester City exit

Tuesday’s edition of Sport covers the latest on Omar Marmoush, João Pedro and Barca’s other striker targets.

Robert Lewandowski’s exit forces the Catalan club to sign a replacement, and the main targets are either non-transferable, unaffordable or both.

Julián Alvarez’s situation saw Barcelona sporting director Deco accelerate the Pedro track, but Chelsea aren’t willing to sell.

Therefore, the Spanish champions are handling other names like the Manchester City player, Inter Milan star Lautaro Martínez and Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen.

The Serie A side would demand an exorbitant fee for Martínez. Osimhen seems to be comfortable in Turkey and earns huge wages.

Meanwhile, the Egypt international is ‘crazy to come’ to the Camp Nou and Hansi Flick particularly admirers him.

The 27-year-old has been Erling Haaland’s backup since joining Manchester City. He’s played 1,359 minutes from 35 matches, managing eight goals and three assists.

Alvarez had a similar role at the Etihad and left them for Los Rojiblancos. Like the World Cup winner, Marmoush also wants to join a top team and is crazy about a move to Barcelona.

For now, his name is on the table at the Camp Nou and it’s unclear whether there will be further developments in this case.
