Dastan Satpaev desperate to impress Xabi Alonso in Chelsea pre-season

One of those set to join this summer is Dastan Satpaev, and he is promising a great deal following his fantastic start to senior football with Kairat Almaty.

He said: “Sources close to the player say that Dastan Satpaev is very excited about Chelsea’s training camp, which will take place in early July.

“They insist that he will do everything possible to impress Xabi Alonso and, if necessary, is ready to tear holes in the net with his shots.”

Liam Rosenior reportedly communicated he wanted Satpaev in his squad for next season, clearly making an impression on the former Blues manager.

Satpaev in hot form this season

The Kazakhstani Premier League season ended in October, and the 17-year-old scored six goals in the last five games of the campaign.

In the new season, which started in March, he recovered from early injury woes to now register seven goal contributions in 11 league games.

Satpaev is working alongside Reece James’ family in order to adapt and get ready for what will meet him playing at the top level of European football.

It remains to be seen what next season will look like for the youngster, although a loan move to Strasbourg to replace Emanuel Emegha would be realistic and beneficial.
