Arsenal Injury News And Return Dates: Updates On David Raya, Jurrien Timber&2 Others

Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya says he should be “fine” to play in the Gunners’ final Premier League game this weekend.

The Spaniard had treatment for several minutes after a collision with Burnley striker Zian Flemming on Monday night.

Asked after the match about the seriousness of the injury, Raya said he had suffered no real issues:

“Yeah, I had a dead back, a dead glute and a dead shoulder, but I’ll be fine. Ice bath, I’m going straight away to the ice bath.”

Expected Return Date – Sunday 24th May vs Crystal Palace

Jurrien Timber

Netherlands head coach Ronald Koeman says he is not optimistic about the defender’s chances of making a comeback from a groin injury soon.

Timber has already been out for two months, and while he is working hard to get back to full fitness, Koeman has suggested that the player could be a doubt for the World Cup next month:

“Jurrien has been dealing with this [injury] for quite some time. He is now training up again to see if he can make the Champions League final and if he is available for the World Cup. It doesn’t look rosy at the moment.”

Timber last made an appearance during the 2-0 win against Everton in mid-March. He was forced off before halftime in that match.

Expected Return Date – May/June
