Along the way, Pickford has kept a huge number of clean sheets too, seeing him rise up the all-time leaderboard with ease.

How many clean sheets does Pickford have for England?

Pickford has 43 clean sheets for England in 82 appearances.

It means he boasts an impressive record of not conceding a goal in over 50 per cent of his total caps for the Three Lions.

His first clean sheet on the international stage came in November 2017 in a 0-0 draw against Germany.

And heading into the 2026 World Cup, his most recent clean sheet came against Serbia in a 2-0 victory in November 2025.

Pickford's 43 shutouts have him sitting joint-second in the all-time list of goalkeepers for England, needing one more to move up to outright second in the history books.

The 2026 World Cup will be Pickford's third of his career, having appeared for England in the 2018 and 2022 tournaments.

He played every game at both of those, featuring in 12 matches in total in the iconic competition over the last eight years.

When it comes to clean sheets, he has four at World Cups.

His first came against Belgium in 2018, while his most recent clean sheet at the tournament was a 3-0 win over Senegal in 2022.

Pickford's four World Cup clean sheets see him hunting down the leading pack of historic goalkeepers.

Shilton has the most ever for England in the competition with 10, and that also has him tied for the most ever at World Cups.
