Pep Guardiola is reportedly planning to acquire a £13.5million property following his departure from Manchester City.

The iconic Spaniard is anticipated to leave the Premier League giants after a decade in charge at the conclusion of the campaign. His spell in Manchester has represented the longest managerial appointment of his career, and the 55-year-old is now targeting a return home to Barcelona, according to The Sun.

Guardiola is understood to have identified a luxurious mansion in Catalonia that sits merely 100 yards from the marital residence he previously occupied with estranged wife Cristina Serra.

The newly-constructed property - positioned in the upmarket Pedralbes district - boasts a substantial swimming pool, a gym, a jacuzzi and stunning sea views. It was reported the pair initiated divorce proceedings in 2024 following 30 years of marriage.

Having originally relocated to England with Guardiola in 2016, Cristina returned to Barcelona three years afterwards, with the football manager staying at Deansgate CitySuites in central Manchester.

Only two fixtures remain in Guardiola's City tenure with his anticipated departure yet to be officially announced by the club as the Premier League title race continues. The Citizens must defeat Bournemouth on Tuesday evening to keep the race alive until the final day of the season.

Former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca is the frontrunner to succeed Guardiola, who managed to sidestep questions regarding his future following his side's FA Cup final triumph over Chelsea last weekend.

TNT Sports' Laura Woods pressed: "Pep, there are so many rumours about you leaving. You're not, are you?" Initially appearing puzzled, Guardiola smiled before responding: "What rumours? Have a lovely evening!"

He then set his microphone down on the table and exchanged handshakes with the panel before making his exit. Having clinched the domestic cup double, City have announced they will mark the achievements with an open-top bus parade on Monday.

It is anticipated that confirmation of Guardiola's departure from City will come at some point on Sunday, allowing his remarkable contribution to English football to be celebrated the following day.

The parade will reportedly kick off in Manchester's Northern Quarter at 4pm before concluding outside the Colin Bell Stand reception at the Etihad an hour later. During Guardiola's 10 years at the club, he has accumulated an extraordinary 20 trophies, amongst them six Premier League titles and the historic Treble in the 2022/23 season.

While it remains unclear what Guardiola's next move will be, he has previously expressed an interest in taking charge of an international side.
