Interim Chelsea head coach Calum McFarlane has made changes to his lineup to face Tottenham this evening.

The Blues lost 1-0 to Manchester City at Wembley and now turn attention to their final two games of the Premier League season, starting with Spurs.

Pedro Neto and Alejandro Garnacho both returned in the cup final after each missing two matches with knocks picked up in training. Both are available again, but only one starts, with Garnacho on the bench.

At centre-back, McFarlane said on Monday that Chelsea “must be careful” with Levi Colwill, given that he has just returned from a serious injury that saw him play no part in the season until earlier this month. He does not start, and neither does Trevoh Chalobah.

Robert Sanchez returned against City but wore a Petr Cech-style skull-cap and starts again tonight, as expected.

Romeo Lavia suffered a knock on the eve of the FA Cup final and was not in the squad, and misses out on the squad here.

Some youngsters make the side on the night, with Jesse Derry featuring on the bench after recovering from a head injury sustained on his full senior debut a couple of weeks ago. Highly-rated forwards Shim Mheuka and Ryan Kavuma-McQueen also feature.

Chelsea XI: Sanchez; Acheampong, Fofana, Hato, Cucurella, Caicedo, Andrey Santos, Palmer, Fernandez, Neto, Delap

Subs: Jorgensen, Sarr, Chalobah, James, Essugo, Garnacho, Derry, Kavuma-McQueen, Mheuka

Injured: Lavia, Estevao, Gittens

Time and date: 8:15pm BST on Tuesday May 19, 2026
