Conor Gallagher endured a miserable evening as he returned to Chelsea for the first time as his Tottenham side lost 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.
His former teammate, Enzo Fernandez, opened the scoring, while replacement Andrey Santos found the net for what turned out to be the winning goal.

Chelsea fans brandish Conor Gallagher a ‘Chelsea reject’
Gallagher engaged in a heated debate with Marc Cucurella after the Englishman bodychecked him in the first half, and Chelsea fans welcomed the opportunity to boo him whenever he was on the ball.
During a break in play in the first half, journalist Simon Johnson shared that the home fans were calling Gallagher a ‘Chelsea reject’ following his previous time with the club.

He said: “Conor Gallagher getting the ‘Chelsea reject’ treatment from Chelsea fans on his first return to Stamford Bridge with Tottenham.”
Gallagher was the victim of BlueCo’s obsession with player trading, seeing a pure profit on the books opportunity to sell him to Atletico Madrid.

Former Chelsea players do not enjoy Stamford Bridge returns
No matter how successful a player’s career was at Stamford Bridge, they are very rarely given a warm welcome back to West London.
Mason Mount has frequently been on the end of abuse from Chelsea fans, although had the last laugh this season when Manchester United beat the Blues.
Noni Madueke also received pelters when Arsenal made the trip across the capital, however he is currently celebrating being a Premier League winner.
Gallagher is the latest to receive this treatment, and will be feeling the pressure with Spurs needing to avoid defeat on Sunday to guarantee their place in the Premier League.
