Everton are back in the mix to sign AS Saint-Étienne’s Zuriko Davitashvili in the summer.
Back in January, Sport Witness covered claims from France of Everton entering the race to sign him.
At that time, Benfica were challenging the Premier League side but neither could get a deal over the line.
The winger has enjoyed a good run with the Ligue 2 side, scoring 15 goals and contributing five assists from 31 matches.

Everton in tussle with 5 other clubs
Foot-Sur7 now report six clubs are in the running to sign the Georgia international in the upcoming window.
This includes David Moyes’ side, Benfica, Olympiacos, AS Monaco, Lille and Beşiktaş. The outlet claims it’s their own information and report that these clubs are lining up to secure his services.
These six clubs are hoping Saint-Étienne continue in Ligue 2 so that they can snatch Zuriko Davitashvili.
The French club finished third in Ligue 2 and face OGC Nice in a two-leg playoff. The second leg will take place on May 29th and this deadline is key for the Toffees and five other interested parties.
That’s because the attacker’s suitors are eagerly waiting for his deadline to launch their bids. Among these six clubs, Lille have an advantage after securing direct qualification for the Champions League.
Saint-Étienne are aware of the difficulty of retaining the 25-year-old without returning to the Ligue 1.
In the event of a sale in the summer, the French club will demand at least €15m. The fee may be higher if they return to the top flight.
Everton, Benfica, Olympiacos, AS Monaco, Lille and Beşiktaş are all told about the fee to sign Davitashvili.
Contract, value and agent info
The Georgian has a contract until 2028, with an option for another year, and his value, as per Transfermarkt, is €10m.
Georgian agency Jugeli Sports, owned by agent Giorgi Jugeli, are representing the winger.
