Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland has reacted as Arsenal won the Premier League title. The Gunners confirmed the triumph after Man City drew against Bournemouth away from home.
Eli Junior Kroupi gave the Cherries the lead in the 37th minute of the game. Erling Haaland equalized for the Manchester-based club late in stoppage time. Pep Guardiola's side couldn't muster up another chance and failed to collect the all-important 3 points to keep the title race alive.
Arsenal's win comes 22 years after their previous title triumph, when Arsene Wenger was still the first-team manager. Speaking after the game to Norwegian network Viaplay, Erling Haaland conceded that his Man City side weren't good enough this season after losing out on the title. He said (via Daily AFC on X):
"Of course, I'm disappointed. It's been a long season, an interesting season, but ultimately not good enough for us. That is how it is."
On Arsenal, he added:
"When you get the most points, you deserve to win the league."
He then went on to congratulate compatriot Martin Odegaard after the Arsenal victory:
"Congratulations to Martin, it is well deserved. He deserves this trophy. It'll be tough to see him lift the trophy, but it's fantastic when a Norwegian wins the Premier League and lifts the trophy. So, congrats to him, he deserves it. "
He then admitted he is desperate to win the league next season:
"There is a fire in my belly, and every day it gets easier to use it as motivation to win the PL next season."
The Gunners will collect their Premier League trophy after their final game of the season against Crystal Palace away from home at Selhurst Park. For Erling Haaland, despite his disappointment about not winning the PL, he can be proud of the season Manchester City has had. They went on to win the domestic double, ie The Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.

Alan Pardew gave his take on Arsenal's performances this season earlier in March. After a 1-0 win over Brighton, Pardew said of the Gunners (via The Mirror):
"When I'm looking at them with my football manager's head on, they're so professional. They do every bit of gamesmanship to get it over the line.
"There'll be an asterisk next to their name because you've only got to look at them really in these types of performances and say it's just a functional display."
