BlueCo aren't messing around: Chelsea soar into race to sign "unstoppable" 47 G/A forward for…

Chelsea have entered the race to sign a "simply unstoppable" forward, with BlueCo keen to strengthen Xabi Alonso's forward line this summer.

Blues eyeing new forward to support Joao Pedro

Although Joao Pedro was controversially omitted from Brazil's World Cup squad, it has been a very promising debut campaign at Stamford Bridge for the 24-year-old, picking up 15 goals and eight assists in 34 Premier League matches.

Pedro's performances have piqued Barcelona's interest, but Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the Blues are unwilling to sanction a summer sale.

“So, at the moment, the understanding is that, yes, Barcelona like Joao Pedro and had some conversations with those close to Joao Pedro is true, but at the moment, Chelsea position is very clear.

“They want Joao Pedro to be an important part of the squad, not just for present as he is, but also for future.

And they want Joao Pedro to be a crucial part of the squad, also under Xabi Alonso. Chelsea believe that Joao Pedro can be fantastic under Xabi Alonso, as he was already this season in a complicated season."

The Brazilian has done a stellar job leading the line this season, but his teammates haven't always chipped in, with the west Londoners recently going five games without scoring a single goal in the Premier League.

As such, BlueCo are looking to bring in a new forward, and they are targeting a winger who has regularly been on the scoresheet this season.

Chelsea enter race to sign "unstoppable" star

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Cheslea have soared into the race to sign Club Brugge star Christos Tzolis, who could be Alonso's first signing, with the forward valued at around €40m (£35m) by the Belgian side.

Arsenal and Manchester United are also keen on signing the Greek winger, with all three Premier League sides sending scouts to watch him in action in a 5-0 victory against Union SG at the weekend.

Tzolis, formerly of Norwich City, feels 'ready' to test himself in England once again, and a move to the Premier League is starting to look likely.

The 24-year-old didn't manage to register a single goal or assist in his previous 14 Premier League appearances, during the 2021-22 campaign, but he has clearly kicked on as a player since then, amassing a whopping 47 goal involvements in all competitions this season.

Christos Tzolis' attacking numbers Appearances Goal involvements

Jupiler Pro League Champions' play-offs 8 14

Jupiler Pro League 26 22

Champions League 9 3

Croky Cup 2 1

Champions League qualifying 4 5

VW Supercup 1 2

As the Jupiler Pro League approaches its conclusion, Club Brugge are just one win away from winning the title, and Tzolis has been in red-hot form, earning rave reviews from reporter Dimitris Manakos.
