It has not even been 24 hours since Arsenal were confirmed as Premier League champions after Man City could only draw away at Bournemouth putting an end to the title race. Yet, talks of next season are already underway and the bookies are quick to back the Gunners to successfully retain the league title - something they have not achieved since 1935.
Online bookies William Hill have been quick off the mark with the latest odds and pricing the Gunners at 6/4 to retain the title. Sky Bet and Paddy Power both have similar odds while SpreadEx is offering 7/5 on the Gunners to succeed.

It means that if Mikel Arteta were to be successful once again next season then the Spaniard has achieved something not even Arsene Wenger in the Premier League for the Gunners and that is retain the title. It has been 91 years since the last time the club has managed such a feat and after three successive seasons of finishing runners-up and it will no doubt be the next thing on Arteta's mind to prove it was not just a one off.
Their triumph was sealed on Tuesday when Manchester City were held 1-1 at Bournemouth, leaving City four points behind with one game left. Arsenal had started the season as 9-2 third favourites but went top in early October and never let go, helped by the division’s best defence (26 conceded) and a league-leading away record (10 wins, 35 points). They can finish on 85 points if they beat Crystal Palace on Sunday, bettering Liverpool’s 84 from their 2024-25 title season.
City are 5/2 for next season amid uncertainty with Pep Guardiola expected to depart and Enzo Maresca tipped as his successor. Arsenal’s continuity under Mikel Arteta also comes with a Champions League final against PSG still to come.
Liverpool, likely to secure Champions League football, are 5/1 to win next term. Manchester United are 7/1, Chelsea 10/1 and Aston Villa 28/1.
