Pep Guardiola will not be ending his time at Manchester City with another Premier League title after Tuesday night's draw with Bournemouth handed first spot to Arsenal.
The Gunners have won the title for the first time since 2004 as City are now four points behind the Gunners with just one game remaining.
Guardiola is widely expected to leave City at the end of the season but after the draw at Bournemouth he was in no mood to expand on his future.
"Like you understand the first person I have to talk to is my chairman because we decided when we finish the season we will sit and we will talk. Simple as that. And after we will take the decision," he said afterwards.
If this season is indeed Guardiola's final one with Man City, he will have bowed out with a Carabao Cup and an FA Cup to add to his impressive trophy haul with the club.
GMS understands that an agreement is in place for Enzo Maresca to replace Guardiola as the new manager of the club.

Guardiola made his name as a manager with Barcelona as he won three La Liga titles and two Champions Leagues with the Spanish outfit after being appointed in 2008.
However, after just four years in charge of the club he announced his decision to step down and take a break from management.
He was out of coaching for a year before joining Bayern Munich, where he spent three years before making the move to Man City.
According to SPORT in Spain, the Spaniard plans to take a year sabbatical from management before looking to take on a position with a national team.
It is not clear what position might be available for him, however. Luis de la Fuente Castillo is under contract with Spain until 2028 while the England job will not be available until after Euro 2028, after Thomas Tuchel signed a two-year contract extension with the Three Lions in February.
According to the reports from Spain, the Netherlands and Italy are seen as more realistic options for Guardiola in 12 months.

Sir Alex Ferguson and Pep Guardiola
Guardiola has won six Premier League titles during his time at Manchester City, with one of those wins seeing his side rack up a record-breaking 100 points. They also won a title with 98 points in a dominant era under the former Barcelona player.
Only Sir Alex Ferguson has more Premier League medals as a manager, as the Scotsman picked up 13 during his time in charge of Manchester United.
Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger have won three titles each, with Guardiola winning double that amount.
City's final game of the campaign is against Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium. The last time City played Villa on the final day was in 2022 as they came from 2-0 down to dramatically win 3-2 in a game that secured the Premier League title.
